Social gatherings, tourism and cultural activities are only permitted with not more than 50 per cent capacity of premises or a maximum of 200 people at any one time in Phase Three, and full capacity in Phase Four.

By social gatherings, SDMC especially drew the line where it included ‘akad nikah’, ‘aqiqah’, weddings and engagement ceremonies, birthday, anniversary celebrations, Thanksgiving, reception, reunion feast, retreat and ‘tahlil’ activities.

Other sports activities such as the organising of competitions, local and international tournaments, however, are only permitted starting Phase Three of NRP.

In terms of public recreational sports activities, the public are limited to only carrying out non-contact sports including jogging, cycling, golf and individual light exercises in recreational areas when the State enters Phases Two and Three.

After entering Phase Four, all recreational activities including swimming, mass activities such as fun runs, fun rides, marathons and triathlons will all be permitted.

Religious activities are subjected to standard operating procedure (SOP) from the Sarawak Islamic Council (MIS) and Unit for Other Religions (Unifor).

Opening of schools and other educational institutions, on the other hand, is subject to directives from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and the Ministry of Education (MOE). ā€” DayakDaily
