KUCHING, July 11: All interstate travel remains prohibited except with a police permit until Sarawak enters Phase Four of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) which is also the final phase.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its released roadmap to recovery guideline, said interstate movement would be subjected to government regulations and no longer banned in the final phase.

As for inter-division or inter-district movement within Sarawak, the committee said related activities are disallowed in Phases One and Two.

In the meantime, only essential services with police permits or instruction to work letters from employers are permitted.

From Phase Three onwards, Sarawakians will be given green light to travel between divisions and districts as subjected to SDMC regulations.

The three main indicators for the transition between the four phases are dependent on the average daily cases, capacity of public health services, and the percentage of Sarawak population that have completed their two-dose Covid-19 vaccination. — DayakDaily
