MIRI, Sept 12: The construction of wooden plank walk at Kampung Pasir Lutong, here, is currently on going and expected to be completed in October.

This despite the project being a month behind schedule due to the delay in supply materials, said Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting.

The RM200,000 project, involving four units of wooden plank walk within the area, was approved under Ting’s Rural Transformation Project (RTP) fund allocation.

“The current wooden plank walk at the village had been used for more than 30 years and were in dire need for a rebuild. Once completed, it will benefit the villagers of Kampung Pasir Lutong, making it easier for them to commute daily,” he told reporters at the project site, today.

Ting, who is also the Assistant Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, earlier visited the newly completed Lutong basketball court shed that cost RM250,000.

Ting expressed delight that the two projects, fully funded by the state government, managed to be carried out. — DayakDaily
