KUCHING, Apr 14: Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang handed over the new and completed drainage system project under the rural transformation project (RTP) to Kampung Bagak community leader Vun Ah Kong yesterday (April 13).

According to the news report by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the RM100,000 drainage system measuring 142 metres built in three separate locations in the village would improve the drainage system in the vicinity.

Meanwhile, Billy also made a personal inspection to see the repair work on the damaged Sungai Jangkar Bridge.

It was revealed that the damage to the bridge is alleged to have been caused by the continuous heavy rainfalls that affected the Lundu district last week.

The authority took action to carry out the repair work on the damaged bridge after it was reported by Kampung Jantan community leader Saliman Uchen. — DayakDaily
