KUCHING, March 5: The newly launched ‘Rindok Raya 2025’ Ramadan Bazaar at the Hikmah Exchange Event Centre compound on Jalan Haji Taha here is set to invigorate the Satok area by offering a vibrant shopping experience and creating economic opportunities for small traders, said Satok assemblyman Dato Ibrahim Baki.
Speaking at the launch, Ibrahim highlighted that the bazaar, jointly organised by Permodalan Satok Berhad and Kuching Car Boot Sales Community, features over 80 stalls offering food, drinks, clothing, and festive items.
This marks the first time the bazaar is being held at Hikmah Exchange, complementing the existing Satok Ramadan Bazaar.

“This is a great initiative, and we fully support it. Now, with two major Ramadan bazaars in Satok, the area is becoming even more vibrant.
“People love visiting these bazaars, and with ample parking available here, they can enjoy a hassle-free shopping experience,” said Ibrahim.
The Satok assemblyman noted that Ramadan bazaars not only cater to locals but also attract foreign visitors, benefiting the wider economy.
He emphasised the importance of such initiatives in supporting small and medium-sized traders, allowing them to generate additional income during the fasting month.
“People enjoy the atmosphere of the bazaar—no bargaining, just good food and a variety of products.
“This is a great way for small traders to earn, selling everything from cakes to garments.
“We should encourage more of these bazaars, and we can already see their success, not just in Satok but across Petra Jaya and other areas,” he added.
As the bazaar continues through Ramadan, visitors are encouraged to explore the variety of offerings and support local businesses.

“Get ready your money and spend your money,” Ibrahim quipped, urging the public to embrace the festive shopping spirit.
For the record, the ‘Rindok Raya 2025’ Ramadan Bazaar will be held from March 1 to March 30.
The launch ceremony was officiated by Ibrahim, together with Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) mayor Dato Hilmy Othman.
Also present were chief political secretary to the Premier of Sarawak and Tupong assemblyman, Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman. — DayakDaily
