KUCHING, March 10: The new 76-bed Lawas Hospital project is expected to be completed by Dec 11, 2024, says Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
She said the RM228.17 million project, under the 10th Malaysia Plan (RMK10), achieved 25.21 per cent completion as of Jan 31, 2022.
Dr Zaliha, also Sekijang MP, said there are plans to provide basic specialist services in the hospital in the future.
Some of the basic specialist services she listed included general medical, general surgery, emergency, pediatric, obstetrics, and gynaecology.
According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Dr Zaliha was responding to a question by Lawas MP Dato Henry Sum Agong on the progress of the new Lawas Hospital in Parliament on Wednesday (March 8). — DayakDaily
