He expressed confidence that Elvis’ 30-year experience in the Sarawak civil service would be instrumental in the development of Kapit, especially in ensuring the success of projects under Malaysia’s 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP).

“I trust that Elvis’ extensive experience will benefit the advancing of the Kapit division, especially in driving the success of projects outlined under 12MP.

“I hope all parties in Kapit, including community leaders and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), extend their full cooperation to him (Elvis) as he works to understand and address the needs of the people,” he said.

Nanta also expressed his appreciation to Galong for his service as the previous resident of the Kapit division and wished both men continued success in their respective roles.

“I wish both Elvis and Galong continued success in their respective roles, as they work towards fostering the development of their areas and contributing to the overall progress of Sarawak,” Nanta added. — DayakDaily
