KUCHING, Dec 4: Royston Valentine, 35, has been named Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) candidate in N57 Tellian for the coming Sarawak polls under the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) flag.
As an undergraduate in Business Management from the Malaysia Open University and a local chap from Mukah, he has been active in many youth organisations, associations and clubs.
Among other achievements, he was awarded the Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS) by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud in 2020.
Royston, who is a member of PBB Youth, was also the recipient of other youth awards at the State and Federal levels.
Currently, he is also the executive secretary in the Federation of Melanau Association.
In his early years, he studied in Mukah until Form 5 before continuing his Form 6 education at SMK Rosli Dhoby, Sibu.
With Royston’s candidacy, GPS has thus fielded a total of 47 candidates from its coalition party PBB.
The incumbent for Tellian is Yussibnosh Balo. — DayakDaily
