KUCHING, Feb 26: Federal Work Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi paid a visit to late Hilton Tajak Giles Senin’s family in Katibas, Song.
In a Facebook post yesterday (Feb 25), Nanta, who is also Kapit MP, said the visit was conducted before his departure to Kuala Lumpur to convey his condolences to the family.
He also hoped that the family would continue to stay strong in the face of their loss.
The late Hilton passed away on Feb 9 due to a heart attack.
Meanwhile, later on the same day, Nanta attended the Kapit Kwang Tung Association Chinese New Year dinner.
He expressed his delight at meeting his classmates from high school during the dinner.
“I also stopped by Song to celebrate the last day of this celebration. Better known as ‘Chap Goh Mei’, the ceremony was lively with the presence of many people regardless of ages.
“I’ve given the ‘angpow’ (red packet), I’ve eaten the oranges. I hope everyone is always healthy and we’ll see each other when I return to Kapit later,” he added. – DayakDaily
