KUCHING, Aug 9: Some six Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) in Batang Sadong parliamentary constituency received allocation cheque for the Minor Rural Project (MRP) and Sarawak Poor Housing Improvement Programme (PPRMS).
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, the cheque was handed over by Batang Sadong MP Dato Sri Nancy Shukri on Sunday (Aug 8) to the representative of each JKKK.
The JKKKs receiving the cheque were JKKK Kampung Gunung Ngeli Simunjan (Kapitan Lai Pian Sin), JKKK Kampung Rangawan,(KK Tegak Matnor), JKKK Kampung Terasi Ulu Simunjan (KK Hamzah Samsawi), JKKK Kampung Pantong Melayu (KK Zamahari Razali), Zon Pangkor Gedong (Kr. Mohd Izzudin Abdullah) and Tetuan JKKK Kampung Jaie (Kr. Abdul Mutalip Julaihi).
The report noted, for this year only, a total of 51 houses belonging to the underprivileged, hardcore poor and people with disabilities in Batang Sadong parliamentary constituency will undergo repair and improvement works through the Sarawak Government’s allocation.
It said a total of 150 houses in three constituencies namely Sadong Jaya, Simunjan and Gedong, have been repaired under the MRP-PPRMS since 2020.
