KUCHING, Dec 21: MYAirline will be flying from Kuching to Kuala Lumpur and vice versa thrice daily starting this Friday (Dec 23).
MYAirline Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Rayner Teo said a new route from Kuala Lumpur to Sibu will start flying daily effective Jan 18, 2023 followed by another new route from Kuala Lumpur to Miri beginning March 1.
Teo told this to Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin when he paid a courtesy visit to the latter’s office today.
In a statement today, Lee expressed hopes that MYAirline could introduce more routes from outside and within Sarawak.
He also proposed that MYAirline includes direct flight from Sarawak to certain ASEAN cities other than Kuala Lumpur.
Among other matters that were discussed includes the airfare, flight schedule, air service licence, quality of service and exploring the potential on collaboration between MOTS and MYAirline.
Also present in the visit were MYAirline Head of Corporate Communications Siti Maslinda Sheikh Othman, Head of Corporate Strategy and Analytics Jong Jar Shang, MOTS Head of Aviation Division Zulkarnain Rosli and other ministry officials. — DayakDaily
