Museums, forts under Sarawak Museum Dept to close on Aug 31 for National Day, reopen on Sept 1

KUCHING, Aug 28: The Sarawak Museum Department has announced that all museums and forts under its management will be closed on Aug 31 (Saturday) in conjunction with the National Day celebration.

According to a notice, operations will resume on Sept 1 (Sunday).

The closure includes Borneo Cultures Museum, Sarawak Museum (Old Building), Islamic Heritage Museum, Natural History Museum, Chinese History Museum, Miri Petroleum Museum, Niah Archeology Museum, Limbang Museum, Fort Alice, Fort Hose, and Sri Aman House.

The Director of the Sarawak Museum Department conveyed apologies for any inconvenience caused by the closures and extended warm wishes to all citizens in celebration of National Day. — DayakDaily
