KUCHING, June 30: The multi-lane dual carriageway of Pan Borneo Highway Sibu Section from Jalan Lama Tamin junction to Sungai Kua, Selangau, has opened today.
In an advisory notice today, the Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak informed that this followed the opening of the dual carriageways from Kemuyang Batu 12 junction to Sungai Engkabang Bridge on June 26 and from SMK Luar Bandar Sibu junction to Sebintik Bridge on June 28.
Motorists are advised to exercise extra caution when approaching and driving along this section, as the opening process is ongoing and comply with all traffic management instructions.
As construction works are ongoing in the final stage, road users are urged to cooperate fully to ensure their safety.
If any changes to the opening date, time or affected area are changed, the contractor will provide updates to the public.
Road users are also encouraged to plan their journey towards their destinations, considering the new road layout.
