SIBU, May 18: A 62-year-old motorcyclist was found dead in a drain at Kemuyang Timur 5E1 this morning.
State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement revealed it believed the deceased from Mile 24, Jalan Oya was involved in a self-accident the day before.
A team of eight firefighters led by an officer was depatched to the scene after Bomba was alerted by a member of the public at 8.57am.
“Firefighters upon arrival at the scene found the victim in the drain together with his motorcycle. Based on their conversation with several eyewitnesses, the accident was a self-inflicted one and could have happened 24 hours ago,” Bomba disclosed in the statement.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Sibu Hospital paramedics and later referred to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
