KUCHING, Sept 22: The Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (Mosti) is set to establish a hydrogen economy ecosystem with Sarawak as a key reference point for the country’s Hydrogen Economy and Technology Roadmap (HETR).
According to a news report by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Mosti Minister Chang Lih Kang emphasised that Sarawak’s strong performance in hydrogen technology and economy makes it an ideal reference for their efforts.
“We have engaged in extensive discussions, particularly regarding potential collaborations and the development of the hydrogen economy, as Mosti is responsible for the HETR,” he stated after a courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.
Chang also mentioned that the discussion during the courtesy call encompassed cooperation in the semiconductor sector.
He further stated that they would return to Sarawak to explore opportunities for enhancing cooperation between the Federal government and the Sarawak government. — DayakDaily
