Morshidi Fredrick appointed new permanent secretary of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Ministry

KUCHING, Jan 12: Morshidi Fredrick has been appointed as the new permanent secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak (MTCP), effective today.

According to a report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), the official handover ceremony, marking the transition of duties from outgoing permanent secretary Datu Sherrina Hussaini to Morshidi, signified a seamless continuation of leadership within the ministry.

Before this appointment, Morshidi served nearly four years as permanent secretary of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak (MYSED), where he was recognised for his consistent management of youth, sports and entrepreneurship development programmes.

The handover ceremony was witnessed by MTCP Minister Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.

Abdul Karim highlighted that the ceremony was held to ensure a smooth leadership transition and to maintain the continuity of MTCP’s strategic policies and programmes, particularly in empowering Sarawak’s tourism, creative industries and performing arts sectors. – DayakDaily
