KUCHING, June 16: As part of the upcoming Move For Gold 2026 Fitness & Wellness Festival, Defy Lab Sdn Bhd are encouraging the public to purchase the RM100 Fundraising Booklet, with 100 per cent of proceeds channelled directly to the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS), in the hope of supporting children battling cancer across Sarawak.
According to a press release, the fundraising initiative aims to help SCCS continue providing essential support to children with cancer and their families, many of whom face emotional, financial and logistical challenges throughout their treatment journey.
The booklet, which is tax-deductible, can be redeemed exclusively on July 5 during the festival’s main community day at The Hills and Pullman Kuching.
More than just an entry pass to activities, every booklet purchased represents a contribution towards easing the burden faced by families caring for a child with cancer.
Purchasers will gain access to a wide range of activities and experiences offered by participating partners and vendors, including fitness and wellness sessions, family-friendly programmes, health screenings, children’s activities, wellness talks and interactive challenges.
Among the highlights are Pilates and yoga sessions, sound bath experiences, family pool games, arts and crafts activities, recovery and rehabilitation programmes, swim-to-donate activities and various fitness challenges.
The three-day Move For Gold 2026 festival, which runs from July 3 to 5, is being held in conjunction with SCCS’ 25th anniversary celebration.
Funds raised from the initiative will support SCCS’ medical aid and treatment assistance programmes, accommodation services through its halfway homes, counselling and emotional support services, as well as family welfare assistance and childhood cancer awareness efforts.
SCCS has been supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer for 25 years, growing from a parent-led initiative into Sarawak’s only non-governmental organisation dedicated exclusively to childhood cancer support.
Move For Gold 2026 is organised by Defy Lab Sdn Bhd in partnership with Interhill Group, The Hills and Pullman Kuching, with support from Mubadala Energy as title sponsor and Ibraco Berhad as the Fitness & Wellness Festival Partner.
