More than 1,000 Federal infrastructure projects in Sarawak progressing well

KUCHING, April 11: More than 1,000 infrastructure projects under the supervision of the Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) are progressing well, Sarawak Federal Secretary Datuk Ahmad Nadzri Mohd Hassan says.

As of March 2025, across Sarawak, more than 100 projects have been completed, while another 400 projects are actively being implemented with their progress ahead of the planned schedule, Ahmad Nadzri was quoted as saying in a news report by TVS.

“There are more than 1,000 Federal development projects in Sarawak and they are valued at more than RM5 billion. Of that total, more than half are on schedule or ahead of schedule.

“The rest are being closely monitored by the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) under the Prime Minister’s Department,” he shared, when met by reporters at the Mesra MADANI Aidilfitri event today.

Of note, Sarawak JKR has been entrusted by the State government to carry out infrastructure development projects in this region to enhance efficiency, especially in ensuring that all projects under RM50 million are completed on schedule. – DayakDaily
