KUCHING, July 3: A temporary partial road closure will be implemented at Jalan Old Riam in Miri from July 6 to Nov 5, 2026, to facilitate concrete culvert replacement works.
In a notice posted on its Facebook, the Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) said that the works involve replacing the existing concrete culvert to enhance safety, improve the efficiency of the drainage system, and ensure the road infrastructure remains in good condition for the comfort and convenience of road users.
“Motorists are advised to drive carefully, obey all safety signs, and follow traffic management instructions throughout the duration of the works.
“The cooperation and understanding of all road users are greatly appreciated to ensure the smooth implementation of the works and the safety of everyone,” said the department.
