KUCHING, July 14: SÓL Estate has taken a significant step towards redefining community living in Sarawak with the exchange of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with more than 10 strategic partners during the inaugural Live SÓL Well community event held last weekend.
The collaborations represent the first phase of a long-term vision to develop Sarawak’s first proposed Lifestyle & Wellness Hub within a landed residential development, bringing together healthcare, wellness, fitness, education, retail, dining and lifestyle experiences into one integrated ecosystem.
Anchored by partners including Everrise, Click2Health, Five Senses, Green Medi, IMM Healthcare, KOSA Coffee, Level Up Fitness, Mana Pharmacy, Melody Kindlyland, Tara Med, RehabConcept and Valiant Clinic, the ecosystem is envisioned to grow to approximately 25 to 30 carefully curated operators over time. More than a collection of commercial offerings, the Lifestyle & Wellness Hub is designed as the community’s “Third Place”—a welcoming destination beyond home and work where residents, families and the wider public can gather, recharge, access everyday services and build meaningful social connections.
Unlike a conventional retail precinct, the proposed hub reflects a growing shift in how residential communities are planned. By integrating preventive healthcare, wellness programmes, rehabilitation, family services, dining and lifestyle experiences within one connected destination, SÓL Estate aims to support residents throughout different stages of life while encouraging stronger interaction between generations. As communities continue to evolve, the hub seeks to foster healthier lifestyles, greater convenience and a stronger sense of belonging through everyday experiences.
“The places where we spend time beyond home and work often shape our wellbeing just as much as the homes we live in,” said Albert Ko, Managing Director of EXAL Malaysia. “That’s the vision behind our proposed Lifestyle & Wellness Hub. We see it as the community’s ‘Third Place’—a welcoming destination where people of all ages can access healthcare, stay active, enjoy everyday conveniences, build meaningful relationships and remain connected throughout every stage of life.

As our society changes, we believe our communities should evolve alongside it. Older adults should never feel disconnected from the neighbourhoods they helped build, instead, they should continue learning, contributing and living purposefully alongside younger generations. When communities are designed to bring people together, everyone benefits. Ultimately, our vision for SÓL Estate is to create a place where people can truly Live, Connect, Thrive and Grow together, not just today, but for generations to come.”
More than a lifestyle destination, the Lifestyle & Wellness Hub is designed to support residents through every stage of life. By bringing together preventive healthcare, rehabilitation, wellness programmes and everyday conveniences within the community, it enables older adults to remain active, continue learning, embrace new experiences and stay meaningfully connected with family, neighbours and younger generations.
Thoughtfully planned with universal design principles, barrier-free spaces and wheelchair-friendly accessibility, SÓL Estate encourages residents to age confidently in place while maintaining their independence. Ultimately, the vision is to create a community where people are empowered to live purposefully, regardless of age or physical ability.

The Lifestyle & Wellness Hub also represents the next evolution of SÓL Estate’s long-term masterplan. Following Phase 1 – Prime, which introduced aspirational homes, and Phase 2 – Apex, designed with adaptable living in mind, the upcoming Phase 3 – Zenith extends the vision further through multigenerational homes that support ageing in place.
Together, these phases reflect SÓL Estate’s commitment to responding to the changing needs of modern homeowners by combining thoughtfully designed homes with wellness, accessibility and community experiences within one connected environment.
With more than 10 strategic partners already committed and an ecosystem ultimately envisioned to comprise 25 to 30 operators, SÓL Estate is laying the foundation for one of Kuching’s most integrated lifestyle destinations. More than building homes, it is shaping a community where people can connect beyond home and work, enjoy healthier lifestyles, and continue living purposefully through every stage of life—setting a new benchmark for the future of landed community living in Sarawak.
