KUCHING, Oct 23: Domestic, commercial and industrial consumers will continue to enjoy water bill discounts of 10 per cent to 25 per cent on their monthly bills for October until December, 2020.
This was one of seven extended Bantuan Khas Sarawakku Sayang 4.0 (BKSS 4.0) measures announced by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg today (Oct 23).
“These special one-off discounts will benefit 568,247 consumers throughout the state.
“The cumulative cost of discounts amounts to RM12.6 million and this special one-off discount will be borne by Sarawak government,” he said during a press conference announcing the BKSS 4.0 measures at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today.
The extended measures until the end of the year are aimed to reduce the people’s cost of living and cost of doing businesses which are impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.-DayakDaily
