MOH denies govt will “wipe out” MySejahtera digital vaccination certificates

A MOH notice informing the public about the vaccination status change for individuals yet to get Covid-19 booster shots starting April 1, 2022.

KUCHING, March 28: The Ministry of Health (MOH) refuted as false a WhatsApp message circulating on social media claiming that the government will “wipe out” MySejahtera digital vaccine certificates for those who refuse to take the Covid-19 vaccine booster dose.

The ministry explained that beginning April 1, those aged 18 years and older who were fully vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine and senior citizens aged 60 years and older who were fully vaccinated with any Covid-19 vaccine will see their vaccination status on the MySejahtera app change to “Incomplete Vaccination” if they had yet to take their booster dose.

“The MySejahtera vaccination status will only change to ‘Incomplete Vaccination’,” it said in a social media post today, adding that the digital vaccine certificates would not get “wipe out” as stated in the WhatsApp message.

Additionally, the change of status does not involve those aged 18 years and older who have completed their vaccinations with vaccines from Pfizer, AstraZeneca, or CanSino.

MOH also reminded the public to get their booster dose before April 1 in order to remain fully vaccinated. — DayakDaily
