KUCHING, March 12: Serumbu assemblyman Miro Simuh assures that he will make all necessary preparations to help the villagers of Kpg Tringgus which is under Conditional Movement Control order (CMCO).
He said at the moment the provision of food items to the village had been well-handled by the Welfare Department and other relevant authorities.
“Food supply and other necessities are well-prepared and delivered from time to time.
“We do received donations from several individuals, companies and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and they are well-managed by Welfare Department and all other relevant authorities which deal with the matter.
“And on our side, we are always preparing all the necessary things any time when needed,” Miro said when contacted.
He also thanked the villagers for the very good cooperation since the CMCO was imposed on March 8.
“So far, we have received very good cooperation from the kampung folks…most are strictly complying with the instruction from the authorities,” he said.
He pointed out that only a handful of villagers were still roaming around in the village, and he advised them to go back to their respective houses, which they obliged.
Kpg Tringgus in Bau is under CMCO for 14 days since March 8 due to its 54 positive cases of Covid-19 identified.
The CMCO affected 760 people from 186 families in the village. The kampung folks were, however, allowed to harvest their padi. — DayakDaily
