KUCHING, August 29: A total of 14 new buses will be shipped to Miri on Sept 3 to 4 after their final inspection to further enhance Miri City Smart Bus Service.
Sarawak Minister of Transport Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin and officers from the Ministry of Transport Sarawak (MOTS) visited Pioneer Coach Builder at Klang today to do the final inspection before delivery.
The 14 new buses which are to replace the existing 14 old buses that are more than 25 years old will be operational by October.
These buses will continue to provide free bus service, in according to free bus services policy announced by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
At the same time, Lee under the invitation of the owners of Kapit Bus Company also took the opportunity to inspect the company’s new buses which are built by Pioneer Coach Builder.
Kapit Express Bus Company has purchased four new buses for its express bus routes. These new buses are also ready to be shipped to Sarawak — DayakDaily
