KUCHING, Sept 13: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm advisory for several areas, including Miri, Subis, Beluru, Marudi, and Limbang, until 1pm today (Sept 13).
In a notice released at 10.05am, MetMalaysia warned of adverse weather conditions, including heavy rain and strong winds.

The warnings are triggered when there are signs of thunderstorms with rain intensity exceeding 20mm per hour, expected to persist for more than an hour.
The department also clarified that thunderstorm warnings are short-term advisories, valid for a maximum of six hours per issuance. – DayakDaily
