“We believe that the police are doing everything in their power to thoroughly investigate this case and bring the perpetrators to justice,” he said.

In a statement reported by the news portal ‘Harapan Madani’ on Tuesday, Chiew stressed the importance of upholding justice and ensuring that the perpetrators receive a punishment commensurate with their offense.

“I am committed to doing everything I can to support the families of the victims during this period of mourning,” he added.

Media reports indicate that the police are investigating the motive behind Nur Farah’s murder, including allegations of misunderstandings between the victim and the suspect.

Her body was found at Felda Gedangsa, Hulu Selangor on July 15 after she was reported missing on July 11, and she was last seen delivering a rental car to an apparent customer at Taman Universiti, Tanjung Malim.

A 26-year-old male suspect has been arrested in connection to the case.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan mentioned that it is too early to draw any conclusions about the motive, noting that no weapons were found at the scene where the victim’s body was discovered.

The suspect, a police officer in the Perak Contingent, has been remanded for seven days until July 22 for investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code. — DayakDaily
