Miri City Council seizes Tamu Muhibbah hawkers’ goods illegally displayed on five-foot ways, parking spaces

MIRI, March 11: Miri City Council (MCC) has recently seized various goods belonging to three local hawkers in Tamu Muhibbah that were illegally displayed on five-foot ways and parking spaces.

The council said, in a statement, that the objects were obstructing the movement of pedestrians and the flow of traffic.

The two-hour seizure operation began at 8.30am on Friday (March 10), consisting of 30 MCC enforcement personnel and two policemen.

The goods impounded on the spot were brought to MCC’s depot in Bakam. Claimants may collect their seized goods after they pay their fines. ā€” Dayakdaily
