KUCHING, Aug 19: Sarawak is gearing up for the 2024 Sukma Games with preparations for the venues of the multi-sport national event going well, says Minister of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.
“Upgrading works are now being carried out in all the venues and facilities throughout the divisions,” he told reporters at a press conference during the launching of the State-level National Youth Day 2023 at Summer Mall Kota Samarahan today.
Abdul Karim said the venues for some sports are to be held in different parts of the eight divisions in Sarawak.

In the same press conference, Abdul Karim revealed that the Sarawak Youth Day will be organised by his ministry in Kapit on December 2, 2023.
“The event is expected to be officiated by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg,” he said.
