KUCHING, Nov 8: A thunderstorm warning has been issued for several areas in Sarawak this afternoon by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to affect Kuching, Samarahan (Samarahan and Asajaya), Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah (Tanjung Manis, Daro, and Mukah), Kapit (Kapit), Bintulu (Tatau), and Limbang, according to a MetMalaysia notice issued at 4.25pm today which is valid until 7pm.
“A thunderstorm warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity of more than 20 mm/hour that is close or expected to last for more than an hour,” it highlighted. — DayakDaily
