KUCHING, April 22: The Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued a siren testing notice for Miri residents today.
According to a post by MetMalaysia, they will be testing out a siren for an initial tsunami warning system (SAATNM) tomorrow (April 23) at Luak Esplanade, Miri, from 11am to 1pm.
Residents of the surrounding area are advised not to be alarmed following the sounds of the siren, as it is only a test.
MetMalaysia will inform the residents of the affected areas for any amendments. — DayakDaily
