MetMalaysia: Limbang placed under Level 1 Alert for hot weather, temps as high as 37°C

KUCHING, March 14: Limbang is currently under a Level 1 (Alert) for hot weather conditions, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

According to a statement issued today by MetMalaysia, Limbang has been classified as having hot weather conditions, with temperatures exceeding 35°C and reaching 37°C for at least three consecutive days.


MetMalaysia defines its hot weather alerts as: Level 1 (Alert): maximum daily temperature 35°C to 37°C for at least three consecutive days; Level 2 (Heat Wave): maximum daily temperature exceeding 37°C to 40°C for at least three consecutive days and Level 3 (Extreme Heat Wave): maximum daily temperature above 40°C for at least three consecutive days.

The department further advised the public to refer to its website at www.met.gov.my and social media platforms or download the myCuaca app to obtain the latest information. — DayakDaily
