MetMalaysia issues thunderstorm warning for Mukah, Bintulu, notice valid until 12pm (April 15)

KUCHING, April 15: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for two districts in Sarawak this morning.

Anticipated weather conditions include thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting Mukah and Bintulu. The warning, issued at 9am today, remains in effect until 12pm.

“A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity greater than 20 mm/hour that is approaching or expected to last for more than an hour. A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning that is valid for a maximum of six hours per release,” it highlighted. — DayakDaily
