MetMalaysia: Continuous rain warning for several areas in S’wak until Feb 15

KUCHING, Feb 12: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning for several areas in Sarawak from today until Wednesday (Feb 15).

The areas of Kapit (Kapit, Bukit Mabong, and Belaga), Bintulu, Miri, and Limbang will be affected, according to the MetMalaysia notice issued at 12.20pm.

Furthermore, MetMalaysia highlighted that the Continuous Heavy Rain (Danger) warning is issued when signs indicate that continuous heavy rain is expected to occur, with total rainfall exceeding 150 mm within 24 hours; the Continuous Heavy Rain (Bad) warning is issued when signs indicate that continuous heavy rain is expected to occur, with total rainfall exceeding 60 mm within six hours; and the Continuous Heavy Rain (Alert) warning is issued when rain/thunderstorms are occurring/are expected to occur in an area for more than six hours. — DayakDaily
