Meradong rep urges community leaders and village chiefs to assist residents get jabbed against Covid-19

BINTANGOR, July 2: The role of community leaders and village chiefs (KMKK) is important to ensure that their residents do not miss out on the Covid-19 vaccination.

Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing said he wanted eligible residents in the district especially the elderly, to receive the Covid-19 vaccine to reduce the risk of infection.

Speaking to Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) during his visit to the Bintangor Community Hall vaccination centre (PPV) yesterday (July 1), he appealed to those who have not been vaccinated to contact their respective leaders.

At the PPV, another 600 residents of Meradong district came forward to get the Covid-19 vaccine yesterday.

Ding expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) and the Meradong District Office for launching the vaccination process for the people of Meradong. — DayakDaily
