KUCHING, April 9: The Malaysia Road Transport Department (JPJ) is giving assurance that it is committed in assisting the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) throughout the duration of the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Its director-general Datuk Seri Shaharuddin Khalid in a press statement asserted that this is in line with the statement by Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, during a press conference today.
“As such, JPJ will liaise with PDRM and ATM in order to organise and coordinate our personnel, to ensure that the operations comply with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP),” he added.
Shaharuddin also revealed that JPJ is also ready to extend its assistance to communities in need, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak. — DayakDaily
