Traffic enforcement heads for the tv screens in drama series “Skuad JPJ”

KUCHING, Sept 3: Malaysia Road Transport Department (JPJ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kalamarif Holdings Sdn Bhd for the production of “Skuad JPJ”.

JPJ director-general Datuk Seri Shaharuddin Khalid in a press statement today, said that filming for the 13-episode drama series is expected to start on October 1, this year.

“It will take about 45 days of filming depending on the weather, and it is also expected to premiere in April 2021, in conjunction with JPJ’s anniversary celebration, next year,” he said.


Datuk Seri Shaharuddin also disclosed that the “Skuad JPJ” drama production will be cost as much as RM500,000.

He noted that the main objective of filming the drama production was to highlight the duties of JPJ enforcement and at the same time educate the community about the importance of complying with all the guidelines and road laws set.

“The production side has appointed Mohd Fazli Yahya, who is also known as ‘Pali Yahya’ as the drama director. This includes the six main characters in this drama, namely Rashidan Baba as ‘Tuan Shah’, Saharul Ridzwan as ‘Fakrul’, Firy Azmi as ‘Shila’, Kodi Rasheed as ‘Zamani’, Sefik Khair as ‘Jason’, and Fiza Thomas as ‘Jessi’.

“Apart from that, other permanent officers of JPJ will also be involved in the filming process in order to ensure its success,” he added.—DayakDaily
