KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 2: The Movement Control Order (MCO) in the country excluding Sarawak has been extended from Feb 5 to Feb 18.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today during a press conference said all the states in Malaysia except for Sarawak will be under MCO.
He said the government has decided to extend the MCO after the Ministry of Health reported daily Covid-19 cases in the country were high and the infectivity rates were also high.
“Following the National Security Council special meeting earlier, the government has agreed to extend the MCO from Feb 5 to Feb 18,” he said.
The present MCO expires on Feb 4.
