KUCHING, April 19: Auto-teller machine (ATM) operations in banks throughout the country will be limited to 12 hours only per day, says Senior Minister Dauk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He revealed the decision comes after the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) reported that quite a number of people are using visiting ATMs which operate 24 hours a day, as an excuse to go out during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

ā€œIn today’s meeting, it is decided that the operation time for ATMs will be limited to 8am until 8pm,ā€ he said in a press conference today.
