MBKS to increase enforcement patrols to prevent vandalism of Telekom Malaysia cables

KUCHING, April 3: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) will deploy an enforcement team to increase patrols within its jurisdiction in order to prevent vandalism of Telekom Malaysia’s (TM) cables and promptly respond to any incidents.

MBKS mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng stated that the Council took this initiative in response to numerous complaints about vandalism of TM’s cables, including both underground and pole installations.

He noted that MBKS promptly relayed the concerns to TM and the relevant enforcement departments.


“In response to these incidents, MBKS has taken the initiative to enhance patrols in our jurisdiction by deploying our enforcement team.

“This measure aims to deter and address any instances of vandalism promptly. We kindly urge the public to remain vigilant and take swift action if they witness such illegal activities,” he said in a post yesterday on his official Facebook Page.
