KUCHING, Dec 31: Kuching South City Commission (MBKS) will play its role in spearheading economic transformation by facilitating the Sarawak government’s initiatives to enhance ease of doing business.
In his New Year 2020 message, mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng asserted Kuching is known as the heart of Sarawak when it comes to business, investment and infrastructure.
“This year, Kuchingnites bravely embraced and persevered through a year filled with challenges and adversities, caused by both domestic affairs and global economic instability.
“As your mayor, I endeavour to see through the implementation of programmes and agendas that were planned up for 2020, catering to Kuchingnites from all walks of life.”
He also pledged to honour his promises to ensure better efficiency and efficiency in carrying out his duties and services.
“It is my fervent hope to build this city hand-in-hand with everyone. Together we shall stay united, and protect the city and state we love,” he emphasised, adding that 2020 is the beginning of a new aspiration to achieve true success and greatness.
