KUCHING, May 11: MBKS delivered over 280 bottles of 100 Plus isotonic drinks to the Indoor Stadium vaccination centre at Petra Jaya today to thank volunteers for their contribution to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kuching South City Commission (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng emphasised that the contribution of more than 20 boxes of the isotonic drinks was meant to show appreciation to the volunteers who have been assisting in ensuring that State Covid-19 vaccination drives run smoothly across the city.
“This is an appreciation of their volunteerism and for the support they are giving to the medical team at the vaccination centre,” he said in a media release today.
Wee also called on more people to volunteer and support the healthcare frontline workers.
“This will be of great assistance for the medical frontliners as we need healthy and strong young people to work together as a team to assist in the process in order to ensure the drive runs smoothly, efficiently,” he added. — DayakDaily
