KUCHING, Aug 22: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) is offering motorists a 50 per cent discount on parking compounds starting tomorrow (Aug 23) and lasting until Oct 31, 2023.
According to MBKS mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng, in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of Sarawak Independence and Kuching City Day, the council organised the campaign in an effort to encourage motorists to settle their parking compounds.
“This initiative aims to promote parking regulations compliance and encourage motorists to promptly settle their compounds.
“Failure to make payment during the campaign period may result in legal action.
“Grab this opportunity to settle your compounds and you will enjoy a 50 per cent discount,” he said at a press conference today at the MBKS Council Chamber here.
Motorists may check for parking compounds and pay during office hours at the payment counter in the MBKS lobby, the Kuching City Parking System (KCPS) office on Jalan Datuk Abang Abdul Rahim or any parking coupon booths.
Additionally, motorists may also access the KCPS website at www.kcps.com.my to view or print their parking compounds by entering their car plate number. — DayakDaily
