KUCHING, April 18: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng hosted a lunch session yesterday (April 17) for a delegation from Fujian Province, People’s Republic of China.
According to a press release, the delegation consisted of 11 senior officials led by the General Office of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee deputy director general H.E Mr Zhu Baili and assisted by the Fujian Provincial Foreign Affairs Office deputy director general Huang Shaorong had arrived yesterday morning for their official visit to Kuching, Sarawak.
They were accompanied by the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kuching His Excellency Xing Weiping during the said lunch session.
The lunch session was also attended by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts (MTCP) Sarawak deputy minister Datuk Sebastian Ting, Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing, and Local Government (Public Health and Housing) Michael Tiang Ming Tee, Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman Tan Kai, and Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Women chief Kho Teck Wan. — DayakDaily
