KUCHING, June 1: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng has disclosed that there were six positive rabies cases reported this week (May 20-24).
According to the mayor, the first incident occurred in Kampung Jebungan, Mukah, involving a canine placed under passive monitoring.
“The second incident occurred in Kampung Sinar Baru, Padawan, and involved a bite by a free-roaming pet.
“The third case happened at No 3, Pekan Paku 94300 Bau, Kuching, and involved a bite by a pet,” Wee said during his ShallWeeTalk live session with the community today.
Moreover, the fourth case took place in Kampung Bintawa, Kuching, and entailed a dog bite from a stray.
Meanwhile, the fifth case occurred in Rumah Jerry Martin, Selepong Malleh, Sri Aman, and involved a stray dog bite, while the sixth case occurred in Kampung Bantang, Serian, and involved a pet bite. — DayakDaily
