KUCHING, June 18: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) has lodged a police report pertaining to the fake online form titled ‘Setuju Menerima Vaksin Covid-19 di BCCK’ that was distributed with the MBKS official logo.
The Council said the police report was made at the Sekama Police Station earlier today, and that further investigation would be carried out into the matter.
“Please be informed that the Council has never provided any platform or link regarding the said issue and would like to remind the public not to click the link or fill in any personal particulars to avoid misuse of information,” it said in a statement today.
MBKS also reminded the public to always check the validity of any links before providing personal data as this information can be easily used by certain parties for illegal purposes.
Earlier today, MBKS management and its mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng had both released a notice on social media to warn citizens of Kuching South not to give out any particulars through the form.
The Council said the online form has been circulated on social media lately but MBKS has never released such documents. — DayakDaily
