KUCHING, Dec 24: The Kuching South City Council (MBKS) will meet with Kuching Water Board (KWB) every six months starting next year to discuss and resolve people’s issues.
MBKS Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said a WhatsApp group was also set up to include MBKS’ head of division, councillors, and KWB’s officers for better communication at other times.
He said the council just had a meeting with KWB yesterday (Dec 23) to brainstorm ways to serve the people better.
“Other than KWB, in the utility line, we will also work with Sesco (Sarawak Energy Berhad) to set up something like a (customer service) one-stop centre.
“We (MBKS) can help connect the citizens with relevant authorities when issues arise because usually, the public will lodge their complaints to MBKS first.
“Next year, we will also reach out to Bomba (Fire and Rescue Department) because many applications need to go through Bomba,” said Wee in his weekly ShallWeeTalk Facebook live session today.
He said the proposed one-stop platform aims to give the general public easier access to relevant authorities. — DayakDaily
