KUCHING, June 15: Parents residing in the KMC flats or nearby may now send their children who require tutoring to the new Kuching South City Council (MBKS) community library, where retired teachers will conduct tuition classes.
In a Facebook Live video today, MBKS mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng stated that the tuition classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 2pm to 4pm.
The community library is not yet open to the public, and an opening date has not been set, so the library is currently only open to children for tuition classes.
Parents who want to enrol their children in tuition classes may do so at the MBKS community library.
The new MBKS community library is located on Jalan Central Timur here, behind the KMC flats compound and next to the old MAA Tower.
“We usually only get about 16 people because these teachers are all volunteers and we don’t charge any fees here.
“So, for children who require tutoring, we encourage parents to take advantage of this opportunity to enrol their children here because education is important,” Wee said. — DayakDaily
