KUCHING, May 23: The Kuching South City Council (MBKS) is reminding ratepayers living within its jurisdiction that the assessment bills for the first and second halves of 2022 have been issued either through the Post Office or by hand by its staff.
According to MBKS, those who have not received or misplaced their assessment bills may request a copy of the bill at the MBKS One-Stop Service Counter (ground floor) at the MBKS headquarters in Jalan Padungan, or the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC), Level 1, Jalan Bukit Mata, here.
“The due date for payment of the first half of 2022 is on May 31, 2022, and the second half of 2022 is on October 31, 2022.
“Payment after the due date will be subjected to a one per cent surcharge per month or part thereof.
“On no account will consideration be given to waive the surcharge on the ground of non-receipt of the assessment bills,” it said today in a press release.
Additionally, MBKS noted that it will also open counters at the One-Stop Service Centre strictly for the payment of MBKS assessment bills, on May 28, 2022 (Saturday), from 8am until 4pm and on May 29, 2022 (Sunday), from 8am until 12pm.
It added that ratepayers may utilise e-payment to pay their bills via www.paybillsmalaysia.com, https://service.sarawak.gov.my, S Pay Global (formerly Sarawak Pay) or via Internet banking through CIMB Bank Berhad, Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad, Bank Islam, Public Bank Berhad, JomPay, and Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).
Ratepayers may also pay their assessment rates at BSN, SESCO, Kuching Water Board, the Post Office, Kuching North City Hall (DBKU), and Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) payment counters. — DayakDaily
