KUCHING, Nov 28: Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing has pointed out that reflexology centres will only be allowed to resume their businesses once the city is declared as a Covid-19 green zone.
Masing who is also State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) acting chairman said as reflexology is a service which involves body contact, the businesses will remain closed until there is no local transmission of Covid-19.
“Anything involving close contact is prohibited. Reflexology involves physical contact.
“It is not catergorise neither as sport nor entertainment.
“However, in breach of another health standard operating procedure (SOP) – physical distancing, thus reflexology will not be opened till the area turns green,” he said in a statement.
Masing who is also the Infrastructure and Ports Development Minister noted that reflexology centres are not categorised as one of the entertainment centres by the local councils.
Thus, he believed the councils should come out with a good classification of reflexology centres to better reflect its kind of businesses. —DayakDaily
