2 Covid-19 patients recover as Sarawak sees zero positive case of Covid-19

KUCHING, Nov 28: Two Covid-19 patients from the Sarawak General Hospital had recovered and discharged today as Sarawak reported no new positive case of Covid-19.

The information was revealed by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a press statement.


SDMC said the tally of the Covid-19 cases in Sarawak remained at 1,062 cases.

The committee added that there were 23 patients who were being treated at the isolation ward at health facilities in Sarawak with 20 of them being treated at Sarawak General Hospital(SGH) and two patients at Sibu Hospital and one patient at Miri Hospital.

SDMC added that there were 24 new cases of Person-Under-Investigation (PUI) while two PUI cases were awaiting laboratory test results.

Kuching remained a yellow zone of Covid-19 as there were 19 cases of local transmission reported in the last fortnight.

Meanwhile 491 Person-Under-Surveillance (PUS) had registered into hotels and quarantine centres to undergo their compulsory 14-day quarantine.

SDMC said 3,846 PUS are undergoing quarantine at 38 hotels and quarantine centres throughout Sarawak while a total of 34,318 PUS have completed their quarantine period today. — DayakDaily
